Vegas won't find much value in anyone Philly leaves unprotected. Maybe Hextall can bribe McPhee to take Read and his caphit for a couple mid-round picks.

Raffl or Cousins would be of substantial value for Vegas. Both are cheap and serviceable.

I think Cousins will be protected.

Pretty sure Raffl will also. Vegas is basically choosing between Laughton, Read, and Manning. And they may find Read's contract a good thing to help reach the CAP floor.

If Draisaitl is acquired after the draft this is how this team would protect

Giroux, voracek, Simmonds, Schenn, Drouin couturier and either raffle or cousins.

I think the problem now is that unless Philly grabs a goalie signed next year or extends Mason/Neuvirth and exposes him, they'll have to expose Stolarz and I think LV would go crazy for him. The thing that a lot of people forget is that LV won't have a problem reaching the cap floor and that they would have to accept the trade for the pick to take the player. They could see more value in taking Stolarz/one of the younger players rather than Read and a pick.

Players don't become UFAs until July 1st so the flyers can protect Stolarz.

If you look at the exposure requirements, they need to expose a goalie signed next year or an RFA goalie. It doesn't matter if they're signed for this ending season, it matters for next season when Vegas can officially play.

I think we likely sign Mason to a 3-4 year deal worth $4.5 per. Vegas wouldn't touch that.

I agree with Vegas taking Stolarz. That's why I think you sign Mason (or Neuvirth) to a short term deal, to protect Stolarz.

That horribly undervalues Brodin. I don't see it happening.

You're right. Philly wins that trade. The, Minnesota Sportsfan/We can't have nice things, in me thinks Fletcher will make one of these deals.
At the same time JEE, Kunin, Rubtsov down the middle in a few years might be nice. Especially if it helps Kaprizov make the transition from the KHL.

Lol so Hextall offer sheets Draisaitl 5 years $35 million, Edmonton has $22 million going into this summer and only needs to resign 6 more players plus will lose someone to the expansion draft. No way would Chiarelli not match that offer sheet rather easily.
