Description
No idea what Seattle is going to do. Obviously they pick a player off Habs roster. All year I’ve been saying Habs needed a big 4th line. We’ve seen what Armia-Staal-Perry has done. This 4th line loves to hit, has size and is much younger. I like Armia but he’s going to want $3M and he won’t play ahead of 22-11-17. I thought of keeping Byron or Lehky and putting Poehling in Laval for another year.

Hathaway-Kulak I'd do it. Hathaway could well replace Armia's minutes on the PK.

I'd definitely re-sign Danault before Hyman, especially if it means Evans is the 3C.

Lehkonen is most likely brought back

I completely agree with you, which is why I gave them a top six forward.

I like Danault a lot, but he’s going to cost at least $5M per. Evans has similar numbers, face off % and costs much less.

Hyman has improved each year in every category. If you’re going to give $5M might as well give it to a top 6 forward with some upside. Plus he would fit really well with Suzuki & Caufield. Also leafs don’t have cap to sign him.

That’s a lot of LD’s. Then give them Lehkonen or Armia

Great try on this one! Love the idea of getting bigger all around but idk about sacrificing in other aspects like speed, hockey IQ and defense with players like Danault, Byron and Jo. (obviously we don't know in his case)

Love the additions, great work. smile

Drouin is a very tender person. I’ve known him since 2013. I knew he would crack under the pressure playing in Quebec. He’s a great guy and would blossom in a none hockey hotbed.

I like both Byron & Lehky. If Poehling needs another year in Laval, I would keep one of them.

Watched every Montreal game from 45 thru last night. Didn't see Drouin on the ice let alone in the top 6...

That’s because he left the team. Jo, is very tender and playing in Quebec hasn’t been easy for him. He would do really well in a none hockey market. He still has sick speed and hands.

By the time they need to resign those two they will have $38m one year and much more the following. They should be okay. I only picked panthers because I’ve attended games there and it’s always less than half full. It would be good for Drouin to go to a none hockey market

Caps say no mainly because we have too many defenseman, and Hathaway is a huge part of our bottom 6/PK.

Makes sense. He’s been on my radar for a while. What if rights to Tatar or Lehkonen are added?

You might have me there with Lehkonen... I'd assume Tatar would ask for more than the Caps would want to pay him to play in the bottom 6. But Lehkonen might slot in the third/fourth line nicely for not too bad of a deal.

They were averaging over 14,000 in an arena that holds just over 19,000 so about 70%. Not sure what arena you went to. Obviously some game had closer to 10k, but average is higher and if they continue to win consistently that will grow.

That’s really good. I attended games between 2012 and 2016 and many nights 5 to 9 thousand were there. Good for them if they increased it that much

I just checked several websites on panthers attendance, I wonder if In years past they counted season ticket holders or ticket sales? Because I was at games and took pictures and sent them to my friends in Canada and they couldn’t believe how empty the place was.
