Overpay

it's not often one of these is an over pay on all the signings AND the trades.
Wow, that Tkachuk one is the worst though. Marner's a significantly better player than Tkachuk alone and you add basically enough value to get a pretty decent young cheap 1st line winger on top of it.

I get Marner's in the media doghouse and Tkachuk is the type of player Toronto is looking to add, but adding that much onto Marner is absurd. He's one of the best playmakers in the league off the wing and plays significantly above average defense for a winger.

Leafs are overpaying considerably on this one

Huge overpay on the Marner for Tkachuk especially with the rumours that he wants out of Calgary, if anything Toronto would probably have to take a roster player just to make the cap situation in Calgary work. I don't think Washington gives up Vanecek that cheap because of how little he makes and they're pressed against the cap. All of the signings are pretty fair value though which is pretty rare to see on these things lol
