Detroit needs Lindström, Detoit does not need wingers.

On paper that trade makes sense for the Pens since they possibly want to bring in a vet to mentor Jarry, but I would personally pass on it. Holtby is beyond toast as an NHL goalie.

Rather have Lindstrom.

If Faksa could be had for that price then absolutely.

It can't be done, nothing in that trade works for Detroit.

Detroit currently have 4 RD (Hronek, Seider, Stecher, Lindström) but in Grand Rapids there is only newly signed Seth Barton and nothing else. This means that none of the 4 RD can be traded since any injury would be a catastrophy. In addition to that Stecher is an UFA after the season and may have to be traded at the deadline if he won't resign.

The starting point for trading for Lindström would be a better RD (oh, and Lindström plays both sides).

The other side of the deal also falls down to the fact that Detroit already have 9 waiver eligible wingers penned in for next year + Raymond and Berggren.

Fair enough, I thought he was a bit redundant but really isn't a big aspect of the roster.

I think it's fair considering his salary, expansion and he had a rough go this year. Without the flat cap and expansion draft, he's worth more.
