First you over payed Yamamoto by 2 mil, Kahun by a mil and he showed this yr he’s not a everyday top 6 forward
Top line is good
Second line gets destroyed in its own end wingers aren’t good enough defensively
Third line has zero experience
Forth line has two wingers that on a contending team would be your 13th 14th forwards at best
Top pair D is elite
2nd pair would be your third pair on a contending team
3rd pair are 7th and 8th on a contender
First Rasks isn’t signing in Edmonton and for 7 mil you could get good 1A/1B tandem
With Rask out till after Xmas Stalock isn’t getting you into a playoff spot so goaltending not good enough, forward depth isn’t good enough nor is the D so ya not a contender

No, this team would not be a contender. Your 3rd line only has 1 NHL player. The defence is weaker than last years, the goalies are not better. And Hoffman is not as good as RNH. So your top 6 is barely better.

That top 6 would be deadly if Puljujarvi was swapped for Kahun. Cup contender for sure.
