I don't see why Boston would do that trade. We give up to 4th round picks for a bad contract. If we really wanted Gostibehere we would have claimed him off waivers, but we would most likely use our cap space in other ways. I think if you wanted to get that trade done you would need to do it with Detroit for example and send them a second round pick for example to take the contract, like the Marc Staal trade last offseason. Also to answer your question of if this is a playoff team - I say yes.
