Yeah I don’t want another $10 mil player on the roster though, even if it is a healthy Eichel. I’m tryna avoid the impending cap hell for as long as possible. This is borderline on the Flames tryna shakeup towards a rebuild and they could flip Strome, but I probably should’ve taken him out and tossed a 1st instead.

with the young wing talent coming up you could easily move buch or krieder, half the league would be interested

Kreider has a full NMC and I don’t wanna move Buch since none of those young guys have shown any inkling of offensive upside to be high end contributors. If we operated under those assumptions and they bust we’re screwed with an overpaid center core and no one to play with on the wings. I’d like to avoid that scenario.

Well I see that as a guy who can provide at a bargain price versus Eichel who is worth what he’s paid, but not what I’d call a bargain at $10 mil. Plus I’m not sold on trading Buch like everyone else is.

Despite the long contract that’s a flat out lie if $1 mil was retained on his deal. Kreider at $5.5 would be great.
