Détails additionnels:
Before you criticize this trade and try trolling me ...
Please know that you spent at least 3 first round picks + a recent 1st round pick on Goodrow, Coleman and Savard, all of whom are going to be leaving in the offseason :)
Nick Paul brings everything that Tampa will be missing in Goodrow, once Goodrow walks in the offseason.
Unlike Goodrow, Nick Paul can also play centre, take face-offs and has a cap hit of under 700k in this trade.
Also, he scored the gold medal winning goal in OT for Canada at the World Championships, so there's a very good possibility he'll be a clutch player in big games.
Furthermore, it will allow Tampa to bury a player with a higher cap hit.
Paul might even re-sign in Tampa to a team-friendly deal if Tampa three-peats :D
This is the exact same template as the Goodrow trade with the Sharks, only Tampa is not giving up any prospects.
I also managed to get you under the cap for next season while keeping your collection of draft picks mostly intact.
You're welcome.
