"Holland has to make cap magic" How do you figure. Oilers have 25 million to spend. 30 if we buy out Neal and Koskinen.

Seattle needs more to take Johnson, especially if Foote/Mcdonagh is available

Every GM is sitting around waiting for the Lightning cap dumps, their players are going to go for way under true value. Killorn/Palat will go for probably a 3rd round pick and that's it. Oilers/Flyers defintely not trading down in the first round as part of it.

So, do you keep Patrick? And what do you do with Ghost and JVR?

Well, are they going to? Edmonton isn't exactly the most preferred NHL Locale. Unfortunately for Connor.

The First rounders are swaps. Not outright acquistions.GM's will get into a bidding war over them. These are fair prices. Especially for term.

Foote will be. McDonough's age and contract are not attractive. Johnson grew up in Washington. Guaranteed he wants to play for Seattle.

Flyers can't afford him and definitely do not need more top 6 wingers.

I think Laughton and JVR are going to be packing. Team is lacking in leadership and hopefully Carter rebounds. He's not that bad. Giroux is not worth his salary anymore and they're going to have to get more help.

GMs know Tampa has to clear 2 good sized contracts, that drives value down because Tampa doesn't have a ton of leverage. For the Oilers to drop from 19th to 31OA is roughly the equivalent of a 33OA pick and for Philly to drop from 13th to 19th is similar using values from this chart (https://bluebulletreport.com/2019/06/05/2018-19-draft-model-update-part-iii-blue-bullet-draft-pick-value-chart/).

So essentially you're saying 2x 2nds, a 6th and a prospect for Killorn and 2x 2nd, a 4th, and Patrick for Palat. That is way more than they get in reality. They're good players but cap situation drives down their value.

JVR and Ghost can be traded to teams who have cap to take them for compensation. When it comes Patrick we can either trade him as a part of a bigger trade or sign him if he's willing to play in Philly.

I would say that is an obvious yes after Holland said they were going to for sure buy out a player. Like why buyout if you dont need to.

Okay? Doesn't mean they want him. The Kraken take Foote and run. They'd need at least a 3rd to take on Johnson's contract
