They would want Lundkvist to start

As a Jets fan, I definitely wouldn't trade Dubois. If I absolutely had to, the players I would target are Miller, Kakko, Buchnevich & Zbanejad. With that being said, I would have to feel confident in the ability to re-sign Buchnevich or Zbanejad and to be blunt, I don't.

Forgot about Lundkvist!! Add him to my above list.

Sorry for the spam, I'm gonna narrow down a trade though. Lundkvist, Strome & Howden for Dubois. Thoughts?

Again, this is purely hypothetical, I do not think we should trade Dubois.

Jets have no interest in moving Dubois

I would swap Strome for someone else..... He produces at a 3c rate when not playing with Panarin

Jets could get more out the deal. Maybe switch Strome and Howden to Kravtsov

Rangers top 6: Dubois, Zibanejad, Kaako, Laf, Pararin, Buchnevich
Jets top 6: Wheeler, Schiefiele, Connor, Ehlers, Kravtsov, Perfetti

What? While Panarin was out, Strome helped carry the offense. The Rangers are 11% more efficient on offense with him on the ice than without him. He's established himself as a legitimate 2C. Don't get me wrong, Panarin has played a role in his development, but he's finally becoming what he was drafted to be. I'd be afraid to see what he could do with guys like Ehlers and Wheeler.

I didn't want to sell the Rangers short in my proposal but obviously yours sounds much better to me haha!

So Lundqvist and two duds, one a rental to boot, for PLD. I can't see that interesting the Jets.

Maybe I put too much value on Lundkvist, and do not get my wrong, in no way to I want to trade PLD. That was just hypothetical. Strome was just to fill in the gap but I agree, more would have to be added by NYR to even make it close.

Yeah, I just didn't want people to get the idea that the Jets were ready to dump PLD at a discount. Just trying to stem the flood of lowball offers.

I can't see the Jets trading Dubois as they'll need him at 2C since Stastny is UFA and LIttle is likely on LTIR again. Cheveldayoff just stated in his end-season presser that there were, "no medical opinions that are saying that [Little] should play"

What if the Rangers add a 1st, a good prospect like Jones, and Blackwell, hypothecally, the Jets would take that right? It s too hard to decline.

For me I would require one of, if not both of, Lundkvist/Schneider to start. Frankly I'd probably make you give me both plus your 1st.

For the Jets that gives us a killer stable of Dmen going forward on both sides but means we open up that giant hole that we've been trying to fill for years and are really counting on Perfetti to be able to fill that void.

I do think PLD's trade value is suppressed right now so our best solution is to hold him.

I’d prefer Schneider. I don’t think Nils is the kind of defender we need.
If we had to trade Dubois? Schneider/Kravstov/1st /Strome as a stopgap 2C until Perfetti is ready.

Lundkvist is more NHL ready and has higher potential which I why I think Jets should go after him

Lundkvist, Kravtsov, 1st for Dubois should be fair. Copp could be 2C until Perfetti is ready. Or put Perfetti as 2C
