Overpay and Buffalo wouldn’t want 2 almost 30 players

Value is fair but isnt close to what Buffalo is looking for and Kuznetsov kills it, he wont want to be in Buffalo

As much as I want Eichel, can't give up Kuznetsov and Carlson. It leaves a gaping hole on our defense that we can't fill internally or externally due to cap constraints. Only other option here is to move money out and go get someone like Matt Dumba, but even then I'm not sure that's the best course of action.

Lets say all the players are willing - next is money which I think the Sabres could swing - so overall I think not bad better than 90% of the crap deals I see

Maybe? But it makea both teams strictly worse overall

I don't think it makes either team worse but I doubt it moves either forward either - I mean if Eichel gets to Washington Healthy and happy he could bring them right back to cup contender he's that good. On the other hand I think a number of Buffalo players played better in his absence talent isn't everything, hard to have good team chemistry if your better players act like they are prison labor in a hell hole.

This is a trade buffalo could make if they had a good #2 center already and wanted depth to compete....not a good trade for their current position.
