Carolina rejected a Laine trade because Pesce was so invaluable. Why on EARTH would they protect Skjei or Bean over him?

The idea that CAR would trade or expose Pesce, their only long-term, signed RD, to Seattle is absurd.

Nah, everyone that doesn't watch the Canes regularly has no idea how valuable Pesce is.

They say Canes need to get rid of "tweener contracts" and Gardiner isn't the first one gone is a pretty big tell that they don't pay attention to Carolina

No one would want Gardiner, gonna have to wait, or buy that one out. I chose Pesce precisely because he has value. You can see I also assume Hamilton gets re-signed as well, so other comments out it being the the only RD are kinda misleading.

I dont watch Carolina super close, but I do know you can't keep all your good players forever, I do understand he is in all likelihood not going anywhere for the duration of his contract.
Canes have more and more signings to make though, and tough decisions come along with that. Could probably get more value for Pesce, but I didn't feel like going too in-depth since any Seattle trades on this board are 'CLEAR TROLLS' as well.

ALSO: Sure I liked the idea of Aho coming to MTL, but really we would just be even more screwed by the cap than we are at this point. He is good but not enough to redeem Montreal at the moment. Canes are the ones who got played on that exchange, my friend, by Aho.

Buddy, Pesce is probably the most underrated defenseman in the league. He's borderline top 20 among D men. He's the best DFD in the league from all underlying metrics and has elite base stats. He's not an offensive dynamo, but he's still amazing as a D man.

It's clear you don't watch the Canes super close, but it's FAR more likely Skjei gets taken over Pesce. As I said, they rejected a Pesce + Necas trade for Laine because Pesce is untouchable, not Necas.

At no point did I say Pesce is someone they want to trade, or even should trade, this is just what I did here. Get over it, buddy, it isn't real.
