Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

Don't like Sutter at 3C but hopefully he comes really cheap. Hopefully we can draft a Fyodor Svechkov or a Mason McTavish in 2021 to play 3C in 2022-2023. Obviously, this is pretty much Fantasy, but this is me dreaming of Loui retiring for us all after a sad 2020-2021. I really do think Jake will end up with a terminated contract. Losing Rathbone would hurt bad but I think his skillset overlaps a lot with Quinn's. I can see the argument for moving Quinn instead of Bones. D corps would still need work after this, but that's a problem we face any way. Best case scenario, again, Beagle is done. Compared Dougie's contract to Alex P.'s. I think Sam wanting to leave and come to Van hurts Buffalo's bargaining position. I could be wrong. Maybe a 2022 first is more reasonable. I admit the trade is dubious but I wanted to keep our 9th overall this year for a future 3C. Bring the BC boys home.

I think you need to add another prospect to the Sabres trade or upgrade the pick to a 1st. Rathbone looks good but Reinhart was exceptional this year.

The last thing the sabres need is more LD prospects when they trade Reinhart they will hopefully get food forward prospects.

I like Rathbone more than Hughes. I'm not saying he's better, but I like him as a person, and he has a ceiling just as high as Hughes. I think he can be a PowerPlay quarterback. He isn't as good puck moving as Hughes, but he can shoot, he can pass. I think his defensive play might be better than Hughes as well. Reinhart is good, but if Highmore continues his play like last year, and if Podkolzin transitions well we will then have 6 top 6 winger. Miller, Boeser, Pearson, Höglander, Highmore and Podkolzin.

I know the Canucks team don't have an appetite to trade for a top 6 player. They are already happy with their top 6 . The fans on the other hand well that's a different story.

Sutter at 4C be fine. Need a play driver for 3C.
3 scoring/skating lines be optimal for depth
UFA be a good addition if the right price/term.
None in the system project as a 3C.

4th line for prospects to develop in the future.

I can live with both Hughes & Bones but still the need for RHD is a big priority towards being a contender.

Trying to sign Dougie is enticing but not 7/9m worth.
Need defensive compliments for offensive LHD imo

I agree. I really like Rathbone. I just think the Canucks need more defensive solidity than Hughes and Bones can provide on the same team. I don't think the sabres fans know what they'd be getting in Bones, although they probably don't need LHD prospects. Hughes has proven he can be an effective player in the league and in the playoffs, Rathbone hasn't seen enough ice yet. Maybe Demko can hold it together with 40 shots against every game...

Yeah, 8x8 for Hughes would be a big problem unfortunately. Like I understand losing puck battles due to his size but losing his assignments all the time was worrying
