Swap Juolevi for Kole Lind

I can't see this being the only trade. With Gaudette, Borgstrom, Nylander, Reichel trying to find spots in the bottom 6 next season and Kampf Hagel and Kurashev already having some spots, They really need to shore up the defense. I'm not sure if Boqvist is going to work at this point, he seems to play with almost no instinct some games. Hampus Lindholm or Esa Lindell would be huge adds to get some minutes off Keith's plate.

I'm not sure that Vancouver would trade a 2nd to get out from Holtby's contract—when they could simply buy him out for only a $500,000 + $1,500,000 cap hit over the next two seasons.

Eriksson + Juolevi/Lind + 2nd as a cap dump could get some traction. Though I'm not sure that either Lind or Juolevi really move the needle much for either Chicago or Vancouver.

He (Boqvist) is 20 years old and has shown improvement every year he's been in the league. He will be fine.

Yes I agree with this. That said, a team with cap space like Chicago, could strong arm the Canucks by saying, either we do the trade you presented, or we offer sheet Hughes and if you match we'll offer sheet Ellias. Both players a lot of teams would love and a few teams have the draft capital and cap space to force the hand of the Nucks. Play nice and a trade that slightly benefits the Hawks or we play dirty.

VAN should do that deal, will make it a whole lot easier for them to sign their 2 cornerstones and build their team around them.
