The only change I would make is possibly having Foligno switch with Kerfoot.

You don’t have Hyman on the 3rd line to start the game, it’s just stupid to break up one of the best lines in hockey. Now at the end of a game with a 1 goal lead, absolutely, put together a line of Foligno Nash Hyman to shut it down. Hyman belongs on the first line, I’m thankful Keefe thinks so also.

I agree that Hyman-Matthews-Marner is our best line, but I think that having Hyman on that third line really improves our depth because he can really drive a line on his own. Just my opinion though

Hyman is just too good for the 3rd line though. I like these line to be honest.

I would much rather have Foligno on the 3rd line given that he has played with Nash and has some chemistry there. Kerfoot doesn’t really belong on a shutdown line. Would rather have him play with JT and Nylander. Although this pretty much spells the end of Kerfoot, the fact that Keefe would rather have a guy (Nash) who has not played a game for the Leafs be their 3rd line C makes Kerfoot expendable next year. That’s 3.5mil that can be better used next year.

Keefe makes line movements mid game. If we need to hold onto a lead, you're gonna see 71-20-11 hop over the boards with 8-78.

imo, since montreal is lacking any real offensive powerhouses (like mcdavid/point/mackinnon etc. etc.), maybe that super checking line is being kept apart for now.

I could see keefe shifting things around as our opponent changes - we've already confirmed that foligno works on that top line if necessary, even if it's us just putting him there late in a game to move hyman to a full time checking role with nash/soup to protect a lead

remember they acquired foligno bc he can play everywhere in a multitude of rules, there's no way he spends the whole playoffs stapled to JT's wing
