Why would Trouba waive?

What part of Trouba not wanting to play in Canada isn't being understood? There's no freaking way Trouba waives for Montreal, New York is stuck with Trouba for at least another 3 years until his NMC becomes a M-NTC.

Yeah well Trouba already said that he has no desire to play for any Canadian team. He's not leaving the Rangers for the Habs.

As a Habs fan I don't really like this trade, Anderson Is a big physical Winger who's been able to score for us this season, Rather not trade him for Trouba when Petry could move up to Weber's spot(granted he retires) and just sign a second RHD in free agency

If Weber retired (which isn’t happening) we’d use the cap space wisely, not replace him with another overpaid defenseman making around the same amount of money.

Why would the Habs do this ever? We don't want another overpaid dman on a big deal. We have so many promising young dmen coming up. Josh Anderson is one of our best forwards and is on a good deal. He brings speed size and skill to our lineup. This is awful for us.
