I mean, I know Pittsburgh doesn't have a whole lot of leverage trading Fleury, but if all they're getting back in return is a pending UFA winger and a mediocre backup goalie, Winnipeg is not getting two 3rd rounders as well in the deal.

Yeah, tough to trade MAF. The team and him have different desires. Maximize value vs play meaningful hockey. I'm beginning to think their best bet is to just buy him out at the end of the year. Make a run for back to back cups. He'll be 100% ok with this. Double pay checks!

He wouldn't there's absolutely no way he waives his NMC for Winnipeg. Pretty sure he would waive it for Vegas before Winnipeg.
