Stamkos

He already sat for a "long term IR worthy" injury with Kucherov.

If by sit you mean trade then Johnson/McDonagh + Killorn. You can’t just LTIR for the hell of it.

Well Tampa LTIR'd Kucherov and Stamkos to take 17M off the cap.

Because they were injured. In the CBA approved by the owners and NHLPA, the league can hire an external/third party doctor to assess a LTIR claim. So what exactly are you trying to say?

An NHL team can put any player who has an injury regardless of how un-severe it is, on LTIR

they are only about $10 million of it. Tampa took on Gaborik and Nilsson's contracts at the start of the year.

That’s not true.

“expected to miss a minimum of 10 NHL games and 24 days in the NHL season, the team can place them on long term injured reserve (LTIR).”

Straight from the LTIR FAQ of this site. Additionally, an independent doctor can assess the severity of said injury per the CBA as I already stated.

So I’m confused by this ACGM which is now a discussion in TB forums, where you’re implying that TB will just put a high AAV player on LTIR all season next year because they want to be cap compliant. It’s also why TB fans like @CoopsTroops came in here with sarcastic comments. This is nothing more than a tin hat conspiracy with no logic or proof behind any of your statements.
