I don't mind adding Hyman but if we have 8+ Mil to spend don't you think that it would be wiser to just try to acquire the top pair LHD and Trade one of Chiarot or Edmundson?

i'm all for finding a trade partner to move drouin, but thats an extremely high price to move a 50 points players for a fringe third line center.

Also i dont think Caufield on that fourth line works at all, Evans has been one of our best defensive forwards, you want to use him in situations where he can lock down a key piece of the opponent team meaning caufield is out there trying to play defense which just doesnt make sense, if you paired them you have to chose one who gets his favorable matchups well the other tries to play outside his comfort zone.

It's a High price to trade Drouin for Bennett but i used that Money to sign Nugent-Hopkins who I think would be very successful Playing with Gally and Toffoli

I was thinking either LHD or scoring and I just decided to go all out on Offence in this scenario
    Campabee a aimé ceci.

ya that part works. I just think realistically you can move drouin and a 2nd and that deal still gets done.

Seattle ain't trading for 3.4m Byron just because Montreal wants cap. Dreiger doesn't sign for so little. Gee, Bennett has been poor for years and now he gets a 4m contract? Hyman stays a Leafs for that price.

agreed, but assuming getting the rights to Bennett is part of the deal habs probably have to add the pick.

I personally would bring back Danault at 5mil and scrap bennett idea altogether, and move Drouin to someone looking for a playmaking type of winger and take a 2nd for him.

I traded Drouin and a 1st (which I know Is a little much) because I don't know If Florida would wanna take his contract and I traded him for Bennett because he has been playing pretty good ever since he landed In Florida and I think he would be able to keep up his success In MTL playing Suzuki and Hyman(In this scenario)

Ok here are the changes I would make to your roster, there really are not many.

    1. No Bennet, Keep Drouin and run a second line of Drouin-Suzuki-Hyman\Caufield
    2. Trade for one of Ekholm, Bean, Butcher, Orlov or Dunn
    3. Trade one of Chiarot or Edmundson (my preference would be to keep Edmundson)
    4. Play Yelonen at 4 RW and swap Lehkonen and Poehling
    5. If we have the money offer Driedger 3.25-3.5 Mil (if not look at someone a bit cheaper)

    Sorry I missed Anderson lol

so scratch adding Yelonen and swap Anderson and Lehkonen. full lineup below

    Toffoli-RNH-Gallagher
    Drouin-Suzuki-Hyman
    Anderson-Kotkaniemi-Caufield
    Poehling-Evans-Lehkonen
    ???-Weber
    Edmudnson-Petry
Romanov-Ceci (personally I would just give Brook a try here)
    Price
    Driedger

Drouin has a year left on his contract. Why give away all that. Makes no sense.

Hyman will want around 6M per year as a free agent.

Giving 8M to RNH will cripple Habs cap wise. Not worth it.

Losing Allen makes this team a whole lot worse to begin with.

I'm Pretty sure Drouin has 2 years left But I see what your saying, And I like RNH just because it gives us a legit top center, But I can see how that can be an issue considering we gonna have to pay Suzuki after next season. And I don't get why people are so high on Allen he hasn't played that Great this season, And I get that the team has struggled in front of him but idk why people are so high on him
