I don't see that getting Reinhart. They'll want fewer, better pieces. No idea why they'd wait until 2023 for a 1st.

The Lightning aren't moving Sergachev for anything shy of Jesus himself. Long-term it benefits them more to bleed assets to get rid of McDonagh than it does to bring in assets for Sarge.

Edmonton gives up too much in the Reinhart deal, even if it's an attempt to dump Kassian. Holland isn't going to look to move Kassian after an injury-shortened season: that was the first contract Kenny signed as Oilers GM and he'll give it at least another year to see if Zack turns things around.

Edmonton's noticeable lack of picks means that using them to dump either Koskinen or Neal is likely a very poor decision. I think Holland will gamble and not protect Klefbom: a lot of the verbage out of both of their camps I believe are to instill a sense of uncertainty and doubt in order for the Oilers to get away with exposing Klefbom while protecting Jones. Your better solution here is to bury the trio of Neal, Russell, and Turris in the AHL and replace their contracts with league-minimum players. There's a net savings of cap and you already aren't spending to the ceiling.

I don't want Holloway on the NHL roster for more than his allotted nine games next year and I especially don't want the Oilers to rush him alongside McDavid. He's a capable player sure, but his NHLe suggests middle-six production. I truly believe that both he and the club benefit from letting him rip apart the AHL with Lavoie before coming to camp the following year as a bonafide top-six option.

I don't think either Haas or Nygard return next year: Tippett's poor usage of both men will likely dissuade them from returning and it might result in short-term damage to the club's ability to attract European free agents.

Overpay for Sergachev, the Oilers don't need to go out and pay the moon for a LHD.

I really like the idea of getting sergachev, and I would love for the oilers to trade for him. The only issue is that you're trading Bear after a down year so his value won't be as high as it could be. I still like the trade though.
