Kings pass. They aren't trading one of Byfield, Turcotte, or Vilardi for Eichel. They're #1 need isn't a centre when they have those guys in the pipeline. They'll use those guys to address a need, not a want for a namesake

That is a Reinhart offer that I’d be open to circling back to in the offseason depending heavily on what happens in the playoffs.

Eichel is miles above Turcotte and Vilardi and better than Byfield. they wont miss Turcotte when their centers are Eichel Byfield Kopitar, and their wingers are scoring because they have legit centermen finally. The Kings are also left with nearly 2 lines of prospects after this trade any way. your excuse doesnt make sense

Excuse? ... maybe you didn't read it right. The Kings don't have a need for 1C. Byfield will be that guy, and he'll still likely be around 100 points per season in his prime, then Vilardi is the ideal 2C around 60-70 points, and Kopitar can be the shutdown guy at 3C. Where does that leave Eichel? Maybe at 2C but for the value of giving up Turcotte when they don't need a centre, it makes ZERO sense. They can move Turcotte to the wing and be lethal on the top 2 lines. They're more likely to use Turcotte to go get a top pairing defence to play with Doughty. That's their need: a top pairing, minute eating, left handed defence. Why would they trade any of their top young guys for a position they're already strong at? It's not logical at all. They likely target a guy like Werenski for Turcotte instead because it fills a need.

Lol. Shows how much you know about Byfield. He can be an absolute dominant force on the ice. He's been compared to Malkin and Matthews for a reason.

I'm sorry your trade proposal doesn't make sense. But again, LA rejects this. They'd be interested in Eichel obviously, but at their price. Not at Buffalo's if any of Byfield, Turcotte, or Vilardi are asked for. It's an instant no.

There has been 4 100 point centers in the last 5 years, Crosby, Giroux, McDavid, and Draisaitl. Byfield is not on their level. If Byfield hit 100 points, it wont be within the next 5 years. The trade proposal makes perfect sense.

They won't miss Turcotte, but they'll be missing that cap space for the next few seasons.

LOL... Kucherov.. Kane.. Marchand.. & while we're at it, MacKinnon and Gaudreau also had 99 point seasons in that time span too.

Guess you really can't read can you?

I literally said "he'll still likely be around 100 points per season in his prime" ... I never said he'd do it next season. And Byfield fits the age group of LA's core better than Eichel does (not saying Eichel doesn't fit, just saying Byfield fits better). So why would LA give up the younger players that are most cost controlled, for Eichel? They already have players that can do exactly what Eichel does at the same position. Again, it's just not a need of the Kings. If you offered Dahlin, then one of those guys could be on the table. But not for Eichel.

Sorry, but again you've failed to create any logic and this trade idea still doesn't make sense. You call me a homer when LA isn't even the team I follow most, yet you're a clear homer of Buffalo. Cool.

I've watched Byfield play. I'm a scout and I've scoured him a bunch of times. I know his play style and his upside. I'd be shocked if he never hits 100 points in a season. He dominated at the world juniors as the youngest player there, that doesn't happen very often.

Guess I missed that part lol. But who cares. 100 points is still 100 points. And Byfield can certainly hit it.

Your trade offer doesn't make sense to LA. Sorry. Try New York or Ottawa. You'll get better returns there.

I don't care what you believe. It doesn't change my job or what I do. There's probably tons of people on here that work in hockey, I'm not the only one. Believe what you want.

I'm sure some work in hockey. I doubt a scout would get into a debate with someone on a social media site who is also not a scout. Just saying.
