If it were up to ME.... I would break up the old line that you have. Karfoot at 3rd C and Nash at 4th C, Spezza on a wing.

I actually really like this. I know they would love to get Hyman on 3rd line but he is perfect for first or second line. I Think.

There’s plenty of different line combos you can have, but I have the same 12 F and once Bogo is back the same 6 D, until he’s back I’d have Dermott there playing. Personally I think you switch Hyman and Foligno. Hyman on the first line is deadly and Foligno is a little better suited for a shut down line, lots of options which is exciting.

I think you could try this combo once in a while but I think sticking Hyman on the 3rd is better for depth purposes.
And I'm surprised. Why are you scratching Wayne Train Simmonds?

Absolutely, lineup changes happen mid game all the time. But having the best possible lineup, which Keefe has created right now, gives the Leafs the best chance to win. I can’t wait to see them play. More so when the game is close and he has the ability to throw on Foligno Nash Hyman Brodie Muzzin to shutdown a 1 goal game, this is the best Leaf roster I have seen in a loooooooooooong time

Would you break up any of these lines?
Sevch Avo Teuvo
Landeskog MacKinnon Rantanen
Marchand Bergeron Pastrnak
Ovechkin Backstrom Wilson

The Leafs have legitimately one of the top lines in the NHL when Hyman Matthews Marner are together. Why the on earth would you want to break that up.
Foligno with Tavares and Nylander will be a way better combination than with Galchenyuk. All Alex can do is play in the top 6. And he is a defensive liability. I’m happy that he has rejuvenated his career but when the Leafs are healthy he is the odd man out.

As for Simmonds I just feel the only time I have liked the 4th line all year was when Keefe had Thornton Brooks Spezza together. I love what Simmonds brings and he will most certainly be in the lineup it’s just what I would want is to have Brooks instead.

We are playing the Canadiens though. And they are a hard hitting team. We aren't a hard hitting team. Which is why we need Wayne in the lineup. To get that physicality factor in the group

Agreed, I think this will be a closer series than some pundits are predicting. The biggest challenge for MTL will be who is scoring goals for them. But again IMO MTL was built for the playoffs and once they get healthy this could be a 6-7 game series

Hyman on the 1st line or not I'm hyped for this series man. Hopefully we can pull through with the win

But it’s not as good as when Hyman is on the top line. Which is why having Foligno with JT and Willy is exciting to see. Galchenyuk only plays in the top six. No PP time, no PK time, he is too one dimensional. He is the easiest player to take out for what he brings

When you have Hyman on the first line, the bottom 6 has no scoring, thats why hyman-nash-mikheyev is a good line, they drive plays and generate some scoring chances

The Leafs will never have a lot of scoring from the bottom six when so much money is tied up to 4 fwds. This team will only go as far as Matthews Marner Tavares and Nylander can take them. Any secondary scoring will be a bonus. Which I expect to get from Hyman, Foligno, and Spezza.

Having Kerfoot where he belongs on the LW paired with Nash and Mikheyev will make a great shutdown 3rd line. I don’t need them to score.

You don’t break up one of the best lines in hockey. I’m soooo happy Keefe hasn’t either. Besides at the end of a 1 goal game you will see a crazy defensive unit of Foligno Nash Hyman Brodie Muzzin that will shut the game down. I can’t wait for that

That's what I said, put him there for depth scoring
