Description
So this is how I think things are headed for the Wild the trades might be a miss but I explain my logic below.
I think Parise gives it one last go this season but ultimately near the beginning of the season he sees the end has come.
Rossi will need time in the AHL allow Rask some playing time and Johnson probably gets some play at center as well. Rossi probably gets up to speed between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
As far as Parise is concerned Wild ultimately find a reason to put him on LTIR.

  1. Alnefelt, Hugo
  2. Johnson, Tyler
Détails additionnels:
Guerin values guys who have won cups he further values guys who have center versatility. Johnson's contract converts to a 12 team NTC on June 15, he knows captain Spurgeon well, so MN is one of the 12 no trade teams. Additionally Wild snare a incredible goaltending prospect.
TBL
  1. Dumba, Matt
Détails additionnels:
Lightning do this because they can now dangle Dumba in the Expansion Draft. This is how they can protect their players and not have to pay a significant ransom fee to the Kraken.

Flames could lose him for nothing. We already have a 2 way tie between Giordano and Tanev for the last spot. We don't need a 3rd

Maybe try Vancouver? Pretty sure they dont want to protect Myers and may value Soucy more than Juolevi

I would rather keep Soucy than get Killington/2nd... I don't see Seattle doing the Wild a favor and taking Soucy over Greenway if he's left unprotected like you have.

If you want Hugo Dumba isn't the bolts return they need to loose TJ's and another 5+ million salary say a 3rd instead . Or Tampa Bay adds McDonagh as Minn adds the 3

Maybe I'm misreading. Lightning wouldn't be keeping Dumba they are trading for him so that the Kraken take Dumba and leaving the rest of the Lightning intact. So Lightning would have 5 million in cap space ultimately freed up.

My other motivation is Wild will need more cap space.

Seattle would take TJ with Hugo as sweetner and TB Doesn't have to hope Seattle takes the 6x3 cap hit

How's Tampa affording Dumba? Dumba makes $1,000,000 more then Johnson noway Tampa can afford Dumba take one of Palat/Gourde/Killiorn on top of Johnson then yeah Dumba fits.

Just let SEA have Dumba and keep Greenway instead of getting another expensive bottom-6er.

Why are wild taking on Tyler Johnson, & his trash contract?

Tyler Johnson also has no trade or no movement

How many times does Tyler Johnson pass through waivers before his a negative asset?

He's not better than bjustad or especially Joel Eriksson Ek

First take a deep breath. Second read the explanation. Third watch Johnson play he is still playing up to his contract. Just no one doing Tampa favors with their cap issues. His NTC issues are explained above.

Yeah still trying to find a few right hand shots to get in there. Also I am very high on Hugo Alnefelt.
I know you are of the same mind as me, in that Rossi will need time in the AHL. Johnson buys him time so the Wild will not need to rush him.

MN already has Rask, so play him. Neither is ideal, but Rask at least is cheaper and gone after a year. TJ is a bad bet to me. His stats have gone down the last 2 years and he has 3 years left at $5m.

Alnefelt doesn't do much for me statswise.

Well to each their own. I personally can't stand watching Rask continue to ruin opportunities and turn the puck over. Alnefelt is 19 and playing his 2nd season in the SHL that isn't a regular thing. I do however believe Wallstedt to be a better prospect at the position. Ultimately the trade probably doesn't make sense from the Lightning side.
