Description

Assuming Beiksa waives his NMC this solves the expansion problem for Anaheim. It also gives them a 2 year window to push for the cup with this group (the only major contracts up next year are Bernier and Thompson). This allows for them to push this year and improve upon the team next year.
They protect the top 2 lines, plus Vermette, the top 2 D pairings, and Gibson. They most likely lose Cogliano to expansion who can be replaced with Ritchie next year and gives them 7M+ to make improvements.

Ducks trade their highest potential player in Lindholm and an incredible complementary cheap defensive D in Manson, and we get a bunch of meh prospects, a worse defensemen and an overrated winger? Terrible trade, destroys the Ducks defense and pays no attention to the Ducks needs. If you want Lindholm, Nylander or Marner are coming back, not a bunch of crap prospects.

In terms of shut-down and posession potential, I would agree that they are a dominant pairing. Look at their Corsi stats, and plus-minus relative to the rest of the Ducks defensemen.
