Description
For expansion I protected
F: Turris, Brassard, Stone, Dzingel, Hoffman, Lazar, Pageau
D: Karlsson, Ceci, Phaneuf
G: Anderson
Thinking that Methot gets taken in expansion.
Once that happens it opens up a spot that can ideally be taken by Claesson or Englund and Chabot starts in the AHL. Maybe even Boro gets pushed down the depth chart.
Signing Hogberg at some point will be important. He's having another stellar season (even better than last) in the SHL. I'm not sure where he would start but I'd imagine the Sens would want Condon for insurance and give Hogberg starts in the A. The Belleville! Senators should be much better than this year.
Then after expansion Colorado is maybe looking for a shakeup and a defenseman. So I propose Ceci for landeskog but with them taking Ryan and Beuchemin coming back. It's more about salary for Ottawa and about depth in the lineup for Colorado.

    I love all these send fans that think Chabot is unreal after the world juniors. Clearly you only watched him in the offensive zone because oh boy was he bad in the defensive zone.

    He wasn't that bad in the defensive zone. He was with Clague for the shut down role. He has room to improve but he is almost ready to make the jump to the NHL. I would pair him with a stay at home D-man for the first year but he has potential to be a Burns or Doughty type player.

    Let's not fall in love with players that perform so well in the WJC. Just about all them will not be in the NHL next season....because it's the NHL. Look at Puljajarvi. He was a star for the Cup winning Fins last year, playing in the Finnish pro league, he's having trouble keeping a job in the NHL this year. Doesn't mean he isn't going to star in the NHL at some time, but c'mon guys it's a junior tournament.

    If Chabot was bad in the defensive zone than I don't want to know your opinion on the rest of the defense.
