Ridiculous statement he's been a force all season.

He's on pace for what, 60 points in an 82 game season? Offensively he's a different breed. He's great at passing and amazing at skating while putting up a butt load of points. I would absolutely take his offensive game with his defensive warts. I view his game as similar to Patrik Laine's game in Columbus (I think Steve Dangle mentioned that in the SDP)- sure, it'd be great if he were a grind-y, heavy, and defensive in his game...but that's not his game.

We're kind of hoping Sandin turns into a Muzzin type (in that he's a big minute eater, defensively sound, and adept puck mover), to which I'm curious what Kyle Dubas chooses to do with Reilly. Do you keep Sandin behind Reilly and Muzzin for the next 3 years or do you run 2 big minute munchers and a UFA 3rd pairing and try to recoup assets for Reilly (kind of like how the Kadri trade was supposed to work out).

Rielly is so underrated defensively. He gets blamed for doing his job in the system TO operates. He is suppose to activate and pinch often and when the high forward doesn't do his job he gets blamed. He's an absolute top defenceman in the league. Not the best defensively but he's good and offensively he's one of the best.

A+ only goes out to MVP caliber players, hence why only matthews and marner have it. yes spezza, campbell, and hyman have all been great but not "MVP" level great, and that's why they're only one, or in spezza's case two, levels below
