Looking at their cap situation- they have over 96M committed to 16 players...I guess Johnson and Killorn could account for about 10M...but still more salary to lose and more players to put on the roster...all assuming Kucherov is a go from day 1.

Assuming Killorn AND Johnson can be moved w/o retaining, they will be left with just under 6M to sign 6 player...doable- but at some point the GM has to consider other options to increase maneuverability- especially with a monster contract coming for Point the following year.

Listen- I totally understand your resistance to moving Cirelli...and in the end I'm sure they figure it out...all I'm saying is that the GM would be remiss to not consider what he could get in return...from the Rangers or anyone else...and the Rangers are one of a few teams that have several pieces they could probably part with- pieces that could benefit TBL now and the next several years.
