Description
When healthy, we would look like this.
The only place I think we would maybe need to make a change is at 3RW. We could use Rodrigues as an extra and pick up someone like Bobby Ryan, Ryan Dzingel or Nikita Gusev. The other issue we might run in to is having too many players on the roster, so we might have to waive Riikola/Ruhwedel. I really dont see the need to go all out though and make a crazy amount of changes.

Lafferty plays over Gaudreau in this situation. Pens need a 3rd center and a better RD

If Zucker comes back and is good to go, I honestly think the Pens are fine. They've looked really good of late

Blueger is so underrated its crazy. This guy is legit a perfect 3C. He plays a 200-foot game. He is great on the PK and provides offense. He has 15 points in 28 games, which in a full season, he would be on pace for 44 points..
As for D, we have Friedman as #7, Ruhwedel as #8, Riikola as #9, Weber as #10 and you always have POJ as an option. I really dont see where that dman would fit.

I think Gaudreau has been great.
Why do you need a better RD? Better than who? Letang, Marino and Ceci have been good.

Agreed man. I personally think we could make no moves and be fine. Some guys have really stepped up.

some of the posts on this board with out of touch fans living in fantasy land could learn a lot here.

The 3rd line of the buzzsaw line is set. The top 2 lines are set.
Gaudreau is the 4C we need. Stupid sullivan needs to learn how to coach already.
His bad decision making is the biggest problem on this team right now. He can't coach a power play to save his life. His constant, force it into the slot stupidity where it's impossible to get the puck and shoot it because you're surrounded system needs to go. So does his constant bad decision making on who plays. How many more 28% corsi games do we have to suffer through with Jankowski before he pulls his head out his ass.
That 4th line should look line McCann Gaudreau and fill in a name.
They have a half dozen guys there to choose from. Sullivan will probably stick with the smallest player he can possibly find in ERod because he can't help but make bad decisions. If Zoho plays well it should be him. He likes to throw his weight around, so does Angello. One of those two would be my pick. For the 7-9 minutes a night, let one of them cause havoc and maybe spring McCann.

i agree, but if he gets injured, our bottom six is butchered. I would like a bottom 6 and a bottom pair rental, like we got in 2017 with Hainsey. They don't even have to play, but we don't have the C depth we had in the cup runs (Bonino, Cullen could both play 3C) and Marino (although he's found his feet recently) could have another guy playing under him logging minutes. This team as it is is pretty good, but I don't trust the injury bug

because he's not a good hockey player?
Because what they need out of their bottom 6 in games is pushback.
Because he's like 4'8 when they play the islanders they could use some guys who are 6'7 230lbs willing to hit back?
Should I go on?

he makes 700,000 man. hes not supposed to be a good player.
hes out there making plays and his xG is always above average. not sure what else you want from the guy - but hes certainly playing better than you think he is.

I have seen his stats. I have made the comparison to angello's
This is the think you haven't done.
If you did you'd realize that the answer to the question of what does he really bring that they don't already have is nothing.
They got 800 bodies. They don't really need another if it's not going to be better than what they already have.

i totally agree he hasn't been given much of a chance.
But you are really missing the point focusing on him.

If you are going to trade for something. Go take a run at something that actually improves the team. Not swapping out guys who are 12/13th skaters.
