Description

The Expansion Draft is coming. The majority of the Rangers Forward spots are locked up.

Kakko, Lafrenière, Kravtsov are Barron are ineligible for the Expansion Draft.

The Top 6 spots are locked for: Panarin, Zibenejad, Strome, Kreider, Chytil and Buchnevich.

Despite being scratched more times than I wish, I think Gauthier's ceiling is still high enough that he will become the 7th Forward protected.

Lemieux is feisty and draws penalties, but I feel like the rest of his game has degraded a bit. Would like to keep him, but not as much of a priority.

Playoff teams love Bottom 6 players with grit. Which one would be interested in acquiring Pepe? This way the Rangers don't lose him for nothing.

Sad to say, but he fits as a Bruin, gritty, draws pens, heart of the bottom 6, B's need depth, he would fit imo.

He’s really not worth that much — 10mins TOI, doesn’t produce offensively, plays gritty style — there are a lot of guys like that in the league. I think he’s good at his role, but he shouldn’t be worth more than a 4th or similar value.

realistically, I don't see Lemeiux having more value to Seattle than Rooney (good defensively, wins faceoffs) or Blackwell (reminds me a lot of Jesper Fast, but with more offense this year in particular). I like all three of them and would be content to keep all three, but Seattle will have their choice, unless I'm missing something with the exposure requirements...?

I think with Rooney and Blackwell both entering Contract years after the Expansion Draft, that extra term attached to Lemieux makes him slightly more appealing.

It doesn't work with @Shakabakes reasonning since he would be exposed too.

Anyway, Howden will be Seattle's pick. Big first round centers dont come around often and that will be their weakest position depth.
