Its so weird that you do not want to trade your super star for average prospects.
Chytil has a ceiling of an effective 2c. Lundqvist is doing well in the SHL but would be going to a team that is relatively set at D. Kravstov is doing ok in the KHL.
And you sir thought routsalainen was ristolainen. so check your facts. But he was the top scorer of the SHL before coming over this year. So i think the point remains that those are relatively comparable trades brought forth. The difference is you think your prospects are better.
Without elite prospects you do not get elite NHL talent, period.
Yeah so Lundkvist has always been rated as a top prospect in the nhl, more highly regarded than k’Andre Miller. Kravtsov has always been in the top prospects conversation, had a slight down year last year but proved this year he is still a top prospect.
Not one player you mentioned is on any top prospect list. So who is the one “overvaluing their prospects”. Lundkvist is our third best prospect and kravtsov is our fifth coming into this season. Rangers have a top 2-3 pipeline in the nhl and that’s after the graduations of fox, sheshterkin, etc.
Lundkvist by himself is an elite talent. Set records in the shl for points by an u21 defenseman. Plays a great two way game. Is essentially Adam fox but more dynamic and a better skater.
Btw here are the past few years of top prospects list I’ve found easily off a google search. Maybe you can get educated just a bit more on who you are talking abt and referencing.
