Chicago shouldn't be adding that pick or Delia considering were sending a center that can put 40-50 points especially playing with Mcdavid and Draisaitl and the fact Chicago is receiving cap dump.

I mean...I hear what you're saying, BUT I would still do this in order to make it happen. Even if the "value" favored EDM...the Hawks can work the cap and get a player that likely better suits them for the longer term. I'd make this trade.

Same with Galchenyuk, Yakupov, Lias Anderson, etc... There's no way to guarantee any prospect 4 years into the future. With McDavid/Drai/an extra $4.25M in cap....you can control your destiny with more certainty. Oh and better players. Oh and an extra 2nd.

I think its more than fair and meets a lot of needs for edmonton. Its a little harsh on chi tho. I think you can (and should) hold back on strome or delia, especially with them being the best center and goalie the team can put out right now.
I love halloway too tho! Quinn better be amazing for sabres to have not only skipped higher rated prospects and not have done it for hollaway or amirov.

Just curious though. Who do you think won the Stone - Brannstrom trade? Just saying. You could have the perceived literal best prospect in the NHL (arguably Brannstrom at the time of the trade) and still lose a trade big time.

Holloway is having a historic season this year in the ncaa

Edmonton can't afford to pay for skilled players not on their ELC or on Bridge deals. The Team has been missing grit and speed the last few years Holloway brings that in spades and they got really lucky by getting him based on where they were in the standings.

They just drafted him, he's already played 2 NCAA seasons, and will probably crack the roster next training camp.
