Looks like Spezza is RWer now. Boyd or Engvall at centre. Either way some flexibility with the forwards.

I think Kerfoot has played his last game at centre for the Leafs unless injuries happen.

I wouldn't mind seeing him try Matthews with other wingers to start to see what happens, to at least keep Tavares going.

theres 1 trade im actually considering and that is a trade for Luke Glendening. Should not be expensive to get, can slot in for spezza on our penalty kill, and would be a nice 4c for us especially if Detroit retains

I think spezza being better on draws makes him the C but if he just takes the draw then Boyd is the C I’m good with that as well

I’m a kerfoot fan but I will admit he’s been better on the wing then at C. Swap kerfoot and hyman and move engvall to 3C and you’ve got a top 6 with lots of skill and a very hard working checking line as well that’s shown it can be very effective so far

I guess the question is whether Engvall can be an effective 3C...meaning offensively creative enough. Certainly Engvall has puck handling skill, good skating ability and works hard at both ends. Be a real shot in the arm for the Leafs if he can handle his new role....as 3C
