Correct answer : Too early to tell. Laf has been very unlucky with his shooting percentage

Agreed. I think it's Laf, and will always be Laf, but I also think Rangers management should have their fingers slapped for trying to put a guy into the lineup that hadn't played hockey since mid-March last year, and thinking it would turn out alright. It's very Jack Hughes-esque to presume a player can make the jump from Jr. straight to the NHL in the first place, let alone someone who hadn't played a competitive game in nearly 10 months.

They shoulda sent him to the WJ's.

Too early to tell. I think in a couple years Byfield will be the best of the bunch but Lafreniere has looked ok and Stuetzle has looked amazing.

As in Byfield is IMO a player to build around and will be versatile but in terms of offense, the other 2 will be better.

I also think it’s dumb to put weight on draft position. Laf could still bust , nothing is a given yet. He’s not Matthews , McDavid level and he never will be. At best , I see him as a Huberdeau type which is still a PPG player. And I think Stutzle has similar potential too. Top 3 can be PPG players.

I couldnt believe they kept him from the WJC! Blew my mind. Such a great experience for young players. I do not like NY management, that was the first warning and now with the DeAngelo handling... not looking good.

I think the Dach example is reasonable here, in thinking that the possibility of injury certainly exists, but IMO the benefits of getting into actual game shape outweighed the negatives. Rangers management also thought they were going to be better than they actually are right now, so that's on them.

ADA is a totally different story...the guy had a history of being a POS, and it shouldn't surprise anyone that something bad ended up happening. Unfortunately in sports, if you bring a certain skill set to the table that very few others have, you're going to keep getting employed, regardless of the fact that you're a firecracker that's just waiting to go off.
