I’m willing to bet DET is on his no trade list

What a bad take.
I’m willing to bet he’d accept a trade anywhere for a change of scenery and opportunity for top 6 role to rebuild his value, since he has little say and no other options. He’s already been playing for a basement teams for years.

What a bad take? That a professional athlete wants to be some place he can win. That a 31yr old pro with 4 years left on his contract who has played in the playoffs twice and never won championship would value winning. What’s a preposterously bad take is he would want to “rebuild his value” over winning. His value is established at $5.85M in what is quite possibly his final contract. He isn’t playing for his next contract, do you really think he cares more about his “value” or being able to play for a championship and possibly being able to say for the rest of his life he was a Stanley Cup champion. Ridiculous.

Hah yahhh calm down. Sure man I guess. Just figured he’d likely wave for any new situation since it seems he and the coach have beef and he’s likely lacking options at the moment. His contract value and his actual value are two different things. Don’t see how he’s going to contender unless he gets bought out, but I guess it’d be in a different bad contract swap.

True, I just think any veteran with options ie M-NTC even on ANA would want to avoid DET and OTT because they are well not good.
