Okay well if you want some help;
Philadelphia gets Dominik Simon, Derek Ryan, Matthew Phillips, 2022 1st, 2023 4th, and 5th.
Calgary gets Scott Laughton, and a 2023 2nd.
Now if you evaluate that trade you would see that Scott Laughton is a good third liner, so his return would be like a 3rd, because he is playing so well. Normally they would cost less. The second coming back is not necessary, and giving Dominik Simon which is a fourth liner, and Derek Ryan which is a bottom 6er that is getting payed a ton! Matthew Phillips is like a third liner ceiling like Tyler Benson for the Edmonton Oilers. Also the first, fourth and fifth is not necessary as well. Just a third would do it, if you want him.
Next two trades you want too much as Joakim Nordstrom, and Buddy Robertson sucks! Try a seventh for each.
For Arizona they get Josh Leivo, Juuso Valimaki, and Brett Ritchie.
Calgary gets Drake Caggiula, 2021 sixth, and a 2022 sixth.
Drake Caggiula is a bottom six player also, and the picks aren’t necessary. Josh Leivo is a fourth liner at best, as well as Brett Ritchie. Jusso Valimaki is a good top four defence man prospect, that is gonna be good one day. So after all of that I would say a fourth for Caggiula if you really want him.
Next Toronto is getting Sam Bennett and a 2021 seventh.
Calgary gets Pierre Engvall and a 2022 sixth.
Now if you have heard the rumours apparently Bennett wants a change of scenery as they said, so if you want to trade him you could get a third for him I would say. Decent third liner. Don’t need to add the picks that were in the trade. Pierre Engvall is a fourth liner at best, probably worth about a sixth, or seventh round pick.
New York is getting Mark Giordano, a 2023 second, and a 2022 fourth.
Calgary gets Anthony DeAngelo.
Now if you don’t know, they rangers put him on waivers just earlier, so that trade doesn’t make sense for DeAngelo. He’s decent, but has a attitude. I personally wouldn’t want him, as he’s just a offensive defence man, and did something to make the rangers mad. I would say maybe a small pick would get him, not sure what one. I personally wouldn’t want him. Mark Giordano is old, but decent. He’s a top four defence man, but wouldn’t get a huge return. He is their captain, so i doubt they trade him. Adding the picks are too much. They whole trade doesn’t make sense for Calgary.
Colorado is getting Johnny Gaudreau, and Zac Rinaldo.
Calgary gets Andre Burakovsky, Matt Calvert, a 2021 third, and a 2023 second.
Gaudreau is a good first liner. Small but really good. Rinaldo is just horrible, so nobody would want him. Burakovsky is a good second liner, and Matt Calvert is a good bottom six player. Calvert would get a fourth, and Burakovsky would get probably a second. Gaudreau would get a good prospect plus a first most likely.
Anaheim gets Byron Froese
Calgary gets a 2021 third.
Anaheim wouldn’t do this, as Froese sucks and wouldn’t get that return. He would get a seventh.
On the second trade Anaheim gets Christopher Tanev
Calgary gets Cam Fowler, and a 2022 six round pick.
Anaheim wouldn’t do this as Fowler is better, however they are both top four defence man. You need Tanev for the right side, because you don’t have Brodie now.
You also got to look at what teams need in order to do a trade.
