Yes, the rest of the league is aware of it as well. Watch the rangers and count how many wide open nets strome gets by way of panarin and then see how many he misses. I'm inclined to believe chytil would put up even better numbers
I completely disagree... Considering that you're willing to trade Strome for a late 2nd round pick, you obviously believe that Strome has the same trade value as Derek Stepan - who was recently traded for a late 2nd round pick. There's no way Stepan puts up anywhere near the amount of points playing with Panarin.
Strome's first season with the Rangers he scored 18 Goals in 63 Games, without playing with Panarin. Now that he's playing with Panarin, all that has changed statistically is that Strome has many more assists.
Is Panarin the best player in the game? No he is not. Why is Strome the only NHL playing singled out crediting all his success to Panarin? I'm guessing it's because Edmonton was too stupid and too misrun to try Strome on the top 6.
If EDM had put Strome with McDavid or Dra, he would never have been traded and anyone from Canada would issue insulting comments if any trade proposal on this site for Strome started with less than a 1st round pick.
So needless to say I believe it would be very foolish to trade Strome for a late 2nd round pick. And any one who believes Strome can't score 20 goals per 82 games without Panarin is a fool. Centers that can score 20 goals on the 3rd line and also put up lots of assists playing on the top 6, are worth more in trade than a late 2nd round pick. Unless Canada is trying to "save face" with New York of course.
