This scheduling was not the wisest of ideas. The amount of injuries league wide seems to be much higher than average. Like teams are just trying to kill each other out the way.
Gonna be a last one standing instead of who can actually play hockey at this rate.

1 week of training camp and no pre-season really hitting hard. Never seen so many injuries around the league before

Bowers and Werner were emergency called up and Miska and McDonald moved to taxi. Sounds like Calvert is going to get out on LTIR creating some cap space. Insanely the Avs lose 25yr old MacKinnon and are going to get even younger. My biggest concern right now is rolling Compher at 2C because he has been awful, but the depth is getting tested.

Avs have a shade over $1500 in cap space no LTIR players. So still accruing recapture. Last game they iced 17 players, in doing so and having no one on LTIR they can use an emergency exception to call up 1 player making less than $1mil and that player does not count against the cap. Smart moves with the money. Anybody else gets hurt, then they are F’d in the A.
