To be honest I don't know why either team would do this. Philly gets another center (who is past his prime) to go along with Couts, Hayes, Patrick and Frost. 2nd and 3rd are okay, but aren't a gamebreaker. Boston brings in a gamble of an offensive defenseman who struggles to stay in a lineup, and a first rounder which wouldn't even be a lottery pick. I feel like both teams lose haha.

"Past his prime" Bergeron has been over a P/GP player since 2017 and a Selke Finalist each year too. What a terrible take you have

No disrespect to Bergeon, he is undoubtedly a HOFer, but let's all be honest he is past his prime. The point was not to undermine Bergeron's ability because as I said if I was boston I wouldn't do this trade either. The point is that Philly already has two other centers exactly like Bergeron (not saying they are as good as him), so why would the Flyers bring him in? Why so mad that your 35 year old center isn't as good (or as valuable) as he used to be ...

I'm not mad at all, I think its funny you think he's not as good or valuable as he used to be. Again P/GP player since 2017 (he wasn't a P/GP the 3 years prior to that) and a Selke finalist for 9 straight years....but he's not as good.

Still want to stay he's not as good? He just abused PHI for 4 points last night with a GWG and currently is tied for 3rd in points for the entire NHL.

Dont even try to justify why this stupid trade would make sense either which way. Philly has been trying to move Ghost for a while now with limited success - the bruins didnt let Krug and Chara walk to pick up Ghost at the cost of their number 1 center - oh la la la la
