The oilers just waived khaira they aren't going to claim engvall. Jones isn't going to get waived either he's going to play second pairing. Chiasson is on the first powerplay unit, I can't see them trading him.

I would definitely like to pass on the Oettinger trade. He’s not worth a first... at least not right now.

I don't know bud. Oettinger isn't a proven NHL goalie yet with 0 starts, 40:00 TOI and only 8 shots against.

Honestly I don’t see us doing much different stuff from now to the season. I almost agreed on everything except the last one. Now I don’t think we will trace Chiasson, but I don’t see him being on the PP unit. It will probably be McDavid, Draisaitl, Nuge, Barrie and then blank. Probably one of Puljujarvi, Yamamoto, or Neal is my guess.

Chiasson was the most effective in front of the net. He takes the cross checking from the goalie and keeps his stick on the ice. This leaves the passing lanes in front of the goalie wide open. Do I think someone like Puljujarvi can be groomed to do the same things yes, and he should, but he needs to watch what Chiasson does for a while.

I also am a big fan of a resigning of Chiasson next summer for like 1.25-1.5 million to teach guys like Puljujarvi and Lavoie who are big bodied guys the rough stuff and net front presence.

I like him too, but I think he makes second PP maybe. It’s hard to say because Neal, and Chiasson play the same role. I think Neal is better at the PP than Chiasson. I would like to get Seattle to take Neal with pay, and keep Chiasson for one of the PPs. Lavoie isn’t that way though. He’s a sniper.

The more I look the more I think Edmonton will make Seattle pick somebody if they can't get rid of Neal for marginal assets. They could protect everybody important except maybe Kassian. That would be a Ken Holland move just not overreacting to losing a bottom 6 forward.
