IDK about omitting Rielly. Over the last 3 seasons, he led the league in shot attempts & scoring chances & individual high danger scoring chances generated per 60 amongst defencemen.
Well, if that's the criteria... you should consider Darnell Nurse. Over the past 3 years:
5v5 iCF (shot attempts)
Nurse:
944 (12.65/60)
Rielly: 852 (13.91/60)
Theodore: 839
(13.95/60)
5v5 iSCF (scoring chances)
Nurse:
258 (3.46/60)
Theodore: 248
(4.12/60)
Rielly: 207 (3.38/60)
5v5 iHDCF (high-danger chances)
Nurse:
53 (0.71/60)
Theodore: 31 (0.52/60)
Rielly: 20 (0.33/60)
On a per/60 basis, Nurse had more than twice as many iHDCF than Rielly did. He also beat Rielly in SCF/60. Theodore was better than both in iCF/60 and iSCF/60 and better than Rielly in all 3 categories, meaning your stats are far from accurate. BUT, none of them led the league in any of these 3 categories.
I'm kidding, of course. You shouldn't consider Nurse as one of the top-10 LHD from the past decade. I'm only illustrating how having Rielly and Theodore on your list makes no sense.
