Either Vessey or Robertson won't make it. That's just how it is. It makes more sense to let Robertson work on his game more and be the top 6 winger they want him to be. I know he came back to try and make the team but that doesn't mean he's guaranteed a spot. You can't play him on the 4th line, putting him in the press box is burning a year of his ELC for nothing and he's not ready for a top 6 role. That leaves playing him on the 3rd line or putting him down. If there are no minors for him to play in they will probably send him back to Europe or put him on the taxi squad if it doesn't count against his ELC.

I hope he forces his way and they waive Vesey.

If he plays well cool, if not, I don't care. I doubt he even gets picked up on waivers. I don't think waivers will be all that active since there is a quarantine period.
