How they performed while on the ice with superstar teammates against opponents 3rd lines tells you next to nothing about how they'll defend with 3rd line teammates against their opponent's superstars. That's the role Chara played, I can't wait to see Grzelcyk and Dunn flatline in that role. I'm only sorry Edmonton won't be playing Boston this year.

I think edmonton is still not as good as Boston. With Klefbom out their D is awful. And goaltending is suspect. Obviously they'll be decent having 2 of the leagues top 10 players. (you could argue #1 and #2). Id have them both as 10-15 in the league. Boston's record will be worse this year based on difficulty of their division. but if it was still the Atlantic Division I think Boston would finish 2 or 3 in that division. Behind Tampa and close to the Leafs either ahead or behind.
