I dunno, Jackets are a mess contract wise, cap wise, going into the expansion draft with all those NMC.
They might be forced to trade a good player just to avoid losing someone good in the expansion draft

We are not a mess cap wise. Clarkson is done. He is not going to be able to play anymore. So we are going to have approximately 4.5 to 5 mil in cap room. This upcoming offseason we only have Wennberg and Anderson going to restricted free agency and Gagner in unrestricted. We also stand to lose 2 to 4 mil via the Expansion draft. So no there is no cap problems

You still have an ice a full team, 5.2m in cap space with 16 guys signed, a good chunk of that will be taken up with Wennberg, eat least 4m. After losing a good young cheaper player in the expansion draft. There are going to be a lot of holes to fill on this team. Unless they plan on spending over the cap to use Hortons LTIR, they are a mess

Coga16 Wennberg is likely going to be looking at 3.5 mil. But that still leaves roughly 5 mil to fill out the rest of the team. Trust me. The Jackets are fine. They don't need to move anyone.

Rackell just signed for 3.8m and Wennberg has better production that him. He is going to get at least 4m, can't see him signing less than Rackell.

Jackets need flexibility based on the current cap situation, its not going to be good for them moving forward especially if they do not want to be a spend to the cap team just to use LTIR to make them cap compliant

The assets you packaged along with pick doesn't get you Saad you got to package better then this !

I think Saad is simply accurately priced. Not too expensive not too cheap.
