Besides Murray, Fleury and Maatta you're really not offering that much for what you desire.

Really anyone that cluld be considered tradeable and not named tanev or hamilton.

I haven't done much research, but here are a few names that could possibly work

Carl Gunnarsson (STL)
Dennis Seidenberg (NYI)
Kyle Quincey (NJ)
Cody Franson (BUF)

I wouldn't put any defensemen on your trade block if you are looking to strengthen the defensive depth

It's a tricky time to trade for defensemen. There are the names everyone is throwing around. Dougie, Trouba, Fowler/Vat, Shatt, Michael Stone, etc. All of those guys will cost the Pens probably more than they are willing to give up. And of course there is the veteran rental player market, which are some of the names PrinterBob mentioned. But would any of those guys really help the Pens much? I say roll with what they have for now, Pouliot isn't that far from returning to full practice and he'd at the very least be a strong 7D.

Or, if a trade is really what you want, look for another Schultz-type trade like last year where you don't give up a whole lot to get a guy that is off the radar or currently struggling but also not in his late thirties and rapidly declining like a lot of the rental guys this year. Maybe a guy like Gelinas or Wiercioch in Colorado? Or whoever ends up being forced out of WPG's lineup now that Trouba is back, maybe Paul Postma? Philip Larsen? Ryan Murphy? None of those guys are going to set the world on fire but they also won't cost much. If you're looking for someone a bit more high profile (and costly), Christian Folin? Beaulieu? Those guys will cost more than spare change and idk if they're even available at the moment but it still beats paying a premium for a "big name" guy like Trouba or Fowler.

Not offering trade yet, just gauging interest.

Im not a big fan of kane just because of his injury history and off ice issues. But kulikov is someone that would definetly be of interest.

Don't see he penguins making any moves at LW they are sitting Kuhnhackl now as a victim of numbers, and Sheary and Wilson are playing well. Not to mention that they have Guentzel in the AHL.

They could certainly add some D depth, but it's probably another Schultz type 5-6 D option or a "Depres-Lovejoy" type trade involving Pouliot. Maybe moving Maatta plus for an upgrade or RH shooter?
With the expansion coming up, it's unlikely the Penguins want to be forced to protect 4 D and thereby expose an extra 3 forwards

Laugh and say no. Murray require much bigger pieces coming back. Kulikov was acquired for a bottom pair D so I dont thk he has much value. Sheary is probably better or at least equal to Larsson. Bad deal
