I know that Barkov is very situationally elite defensively

points per game, faceoff percentage wins and takeaways

Im pretty sure Barkov has a really high FOW% and gets a lot of takeaways

He would have gotten over 70 points if the season didn't end. He's had more points than Bergeron almost every year while having worse linemates and being on a rebuilding team some of those seasons. Won 2 selkes in the last 4 years while being nominated quite a few times.

"Only a +6" while being on a bottom 5 team is pretty dang good...

Matthews was a minus, then a plus then a minus then again a plus. Hes very inconsistent. Barkov has been a plus for 4 years in his career
