Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Line 1: Stacked. I normally wouldn't do this but I wanted to see how the rest of the team would look if this was the top line. You could honestly give each guy on this line their own line.

Line 2: Scoring line. Point is strong enough to stay at center on this team. Stamkos got the nod over similar players due to existing chemistry. Huberdeau is simply an elite player who would essentially be Kucherov-lite on this line.

Line 3: This one is tough to put together. I really like Barzal at because of his explosive speed and strength. That's such a weapon to have through the middle. I think O'Relly makes the team as a defensive PKer and this is the only spot for him. He's a good enough player that he can play with anyone. Scheifele is an interesting fit here too but I also think that he's a good enough player to play with anyone as well.

Line 4: Best defensive line in whatever tournament we're playing.

Tavares and Marner could easily be on the 3rd line with Barzal as well. Couturier is another option as a defensive PKer, but I left him off because he doesn't bring enough speed. He also doesn't make the team over Bergeron as a 4C.

Defense is not in any order. I put Reilly and Pietrangelo together as a more experienced pairing that can play in any situation. They would eat up the most minutes. From there, I just went with who I though were the best players. I would be concerned that there isn't enough of a defensive mindset among the other 4 defensemen. Chabot and Theodore are great players but I think ideally they would each be paired with a Parayko-type partner. I'm not convinced Hamilton would make the team given his attitude issues in the past. Team Canada might not want to deal with that. Makar could easily step in that spot and could be in anyway. Morrissey is an option as a more defensive player if that fit would be better.

Goalies are just whoever's playing the best before the tournament. I would imagine Price would be favored given his experience but it's wide open between Price, Hart, Kuemper, etc.
