He'll be worth it until he's 34, he's not the style of player that will fall off very hard, and he's just now entering his prime. Realistically he was a top 20 centre/winger this year and those types of players usually get 8 or more mil/ year

The Penguins are already loaded with depth on LD, Dumoulin, Pettersson, Matheson, Riikola, POJ, etc. Making a trade for another LD is probably the last thing on our priorates list and it makes no sense to give one of our few draft picks and young forwards to get another one.

It doesn't matter what his ice time is... It matters what his impact on the ice has been. And for what he wants to be paid- he is not worth it. He's barely a 5 mil / year defenseman anyways

LOL. His icetime very much matters - it tells us what his coaches think of him. As for "what he wants to be paid" - he's under contract for 2 years still, nobody knows what he'll want - or deserve - on his next deal, so that's a nonstarter. First in the league in 5v5 TOI and 9th in points for a defenseman over the past 2 years (tied with Ekblad) and you think he's "barely a 5 mil / year defenseman"? Shows how much you know.
