You are 2-3 roster players short. IMO it wouldnt work unless they take Lucic/Backlund. Also Tkachuk would play with Toews not Gaudreau. Just like how Kane never plays with Toews

Yeah Hawks probably wouldnt without Zary or Pelletier in return for taking a cap dump as well like Lucic or Backlund as well

Because Toews is a clear upgrade over him, in any scenario you acquire Toews you are most likely going to need to dump Backlund somewhere else (namely Chicago) because having a 5M 3C is less than ideal
