Ferland also stated hes coming back

sure, he can state he will come back but of course there is no certainty to that. If he does end up coming back just insert him into dadonovs spot and not sign dadonov

Thats fine. Just wondering if there could be a deal here to be had. Kings have some cap space and they could take on the leftover 2 years of Roussel for a pick and a prospect. Seems like a fine deal for them considering Roussel for Wagner is pretty much a lateral move.

I dont think he is, come training camp JB will have an extra $3.5 to play with, but between now and then, Jimbo has to act like Ferdaddy is playing.

Thats fair. Its too early out to say Ferland won't be here. He cant make moves regarding Ferland until there is more clarity with his situation and when the season will restart.

If the Kings are taking on bad contracts, they're going to go big and get a 1st in return. If you'd like to send over Eriksson and a 1st, the Kings will happily listen.

If the Kings were to accept a lesser pick and a prospect for Roussel, you'll have to do better on the prospect. Kings will want a forward. Hoglander perhaps.

There is no way in hell a first round pick or a top prospect would have to be attached to Roussel. His contract isnt great, but there is no way it is not moveable. Especially if we are taking back pretty much half the salary with this wagner trade idea. I think the canucks obviously need to add a prospect and a pick to get rid of Roussel, but I disagree that it would have to be a first rounder or top prospect.

I didn't say a 1st round pick for Roussel. I said a 1st round pick for Eriksson. Roussel would require Hoglander and a 4th. I wouldn't call Hoglander a "top prospect." He's a B+ prospect maybe. Podkolzin is a top prospect.

I'm not too sure about if they will or not. I think the canucks will try to argue motte is more valuable due to being a "PK Specialist" and Gaudettes overall defensive game being somewhat poor also citing the fact he hasnt taken over a 3rd line centre role full time. And if im not mistaken, Gaudette is not eligible for an arb case so that could work in the Canucks favour. Virtanens arb case will be pushing 3 mil but im almost certain it wont be more than that. Only time will tell though so i guess we will see.

Im not familiar with all the details but I haven't heard any speculation of them being that low. That said we've seen a few lower than we thought deals in FA including Toffoli.
