I don’t know if Tampa believes Gourde will be more like his playoff performance over the life of his contract or if he’ll be more like his regular season self, but if they can shed over $5M for 5 years I think they really consider it.

Nobody is going to leave defending champ/tax haven/great weather if they don’t have to. Boston is a downgrade from Tampa in terms of being competetive and quality of life. 🤷🏻‍♂️
